Children's Liturgy of the Word Leaders escort the children from the church into the Day Chapel during the Liturgy of the Word at the Sunday 9:00 AM Mass. The leaders proclaim the scripture readings to the children and then explain the readings of the day to the children in a basic, but comprehensive way. The leaders also lead the children in the Prayers of the Faithful, before returning to the church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Resources are provided to assist the leaders to prepare and facilitate the readings and discussion.
Baptismal Quilters - Coordinator: Janice Jacobson, 978-928-5010
Each infant that is baptized at St. Edward's receives a specially made baptismal quilt with the baby's name and date of baptism. The members of the Baptism Quilters Group create the quilt in preparation for each baby's baptism. The gift of the quilt by this ministry serves as a gilft from the entire parish community to the newly baptized member of the parish. Individuals who enjoy quilting can assist in creating this important keepsake for the newest members of our parish family.
