Our Outreach Ministry consists of five different components, providing services to those in our community who are in need.
Transportation Ministry
The Transportation Ministry provides transportation for the elderly and those with disabilities, or to any parishioner with need, to and from Mass or Church functions, to local doctor's appointments, therapy sessions, day surgery, grocery shopping, run errands or to town functions which are held after 4:30 PM.
Visitation Ministry
The Visitation Ministry consists of two different components: Visiting and Homebound Eucharistic Ministry
Visiting
This ministry involves spending time with homebound parishioners or escorting and companionship
for parishioners, as well as providing respite for caregivers, sending cards or making phone calls to
the homebound.
Eucharistic Homebound Ministry
In this ministry we invite Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to bring communion to
parishioners who are shut-ins. Usually each minister is assigned one parishioner to whom they bring
Communion on a regular basis. For info contact Pat Feeley, 978-874-2460.
Crisis Outreach Ministry
This ministry is directed to families who are dealing with a serious accident, illness, bereavement, or in some cases, those with financial difficulty. This ministry provides child care, transportation, the running of errands, and grocery shopping for families in need.
The Outreach Ministry provides Home cooked dinner meals for people who are going through a crisis of some sort and are unable to cook for themselves or their families. All parish members are invited to join the effort to help our fellow parishioners. For info contact Julie Scapparone, 978-874-0664.
Helping Hands Ministry
This facet of Crisis Ministry provides meals to families on a rotating basis.
Prayer Shawl Ministry - Contact Anna Talbot, 978-874-2033.
This facet of Crisis Ministry is a prayerful ministry and a spiritual practice which reaches out to those
in need of comfort and solace by presenting them with a shawl symbolizing God's embracing and
unconditional love. Individuals with knitting or crocheting skills may wish to be a part of this ministry.
Home Service / Minor Repairs Ministry
The Home Service / Minor Repairs Ministry provides services such as minor home repairs, winter shoveling, yard work, minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, and interior and exterior painting for the elderly, those with disabilities, or families with specific needs. On occasion, there are large projects that involve a group of volunteers.
Health & Wellness Ministry
The Health and Wellness Ministry serves as an intermediary with the Parish Community in areas concerning education and resources for physical and spiritual wellness. Roles within this ministry include Health Educator, Personal Health Counselor, and Liaison with Community Health Organizations.
